What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

The short answer

Set your dietary preferences in your account - vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, plus any specific allergens to avoid - and we'll only show you meals that match. Every meal has full ingredient and allergen information visible before you order. If you have a serious allergy, please contact us before signing up so we can talk through whether Viva works for you - our kitchen handles common allergens, and we'd rather have an honest conversation up front than risk a mistake.

Dietary preferences are part of your account profile and apply to every delivery. You can change them any time. The menu filters automatically so you only see meals that fit.

Allergens — what we can and can’t promise

Our kitchen prepares meals that contain common allergens (gluten, nuts, dairy, soy, eggs, sesame, mustard, celery). We label every meal with its allergen profile, but we can’t guarantee no cross-contact. If you have a serious allergy, get in touch with us at hello@viva.je before ordering and we’ll talk through your situation honestly.

Do Viva meals contain preservatives or artificial additives?

No. We're all about real foods and don't use artificial preservatives in any meal. The meals stay fresh because they're cooked recently and delivered chilled - they're not engineered for a long shelf life. Natural sweetness comes from fruit and vegetables, never refined sugar substitutes. Full ingredient lists are shown for every meal before you order.

Are Viva meals high in protein?

Yes. Protein is a cornerstone of how we build meals - it supports muscle, keeps you satisfied between meals, and slows the spike in blood sugar. Most Viva meals provide 25-40g of protein per serving, sourced from a mix of lean meats, eggs, pulses, and plant proteins. You can see the protein content of every meal in our menu before you order.

Can I choose my own meals each week?

Yes. After your first delivery, you have full control over which meals you receive each week. Log into your account, browse the menu, and pick what you want for the upcoming delivery. If you don't make changes before the cut-off, we'll repeat your previous selection or pick a balanced mix based on your dietary preferences. There's no extra cost for changing meals - it's just part of the plan.
